In the present is important to establish the features of chemical materials negatively influencing the human environment and eliminate their effect on it. Different cell modells are used for following of the effects of chemical materials. In the article were tested 22 technological samples of waste waters of the pulp mill. The effect on bacteria, green algae, water worms and cells of the root peak of Allium cepa was tested. From the tested samples 5 samples showed inhibitional effect, 8 samples were contaminated. Mutagenous effect was proved for black extract by Ames test. This result was the same as the knowledge of mutagenous effect of the black extracts proved by micronucleus test on human blood according to Hajkáková et al. (1990) and on the synthesis DNA according Čerňáková et al (1990).
